Post #6 A Light for the Dark

A light for the dark.
I was in need of light for my earth, you already know.

Ca- Imagine a world with flowing rivers, tall lush mountain forests, flowers and shrubs every where. Now there is no light to even see your feathers in front of your face...

Now can you see what a waste of time it was to create an entire world just to find out you cannot admire your work in the end.

Disappointing, aye?

The entire conflict was over that the chief of a tribe had light, and I need that light. Now he was to selfish to give it up hiding it away in a box. I would say this guy has no idea what he keeping,  it is only the most precious shiny in all of earth!

  1. Hi Raven- This sounds sort of like my myth about stealing fire! There was a perfectly nice world with a big problem in both of our legends. Then, both of us had to steal something from a greedy person/being.
    Interesting...

  2. Ca-
    Aye Coyote-
Seems that will have to look into this fire story of yours. I do agree, even though we are from different regions and tribes, our tales are very similar. Nice find, we should connect more to this if we could.
Ca- Where exactly does your legend come from? I exist with a higher role in the more northwest, Canadian regions.

  3. My myth exists more in the Northwestern region of the U.S., in what people today call Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

  5. Oh! Fascinating. We seem to be in northern areas. People need warm and sight. Good thing they had our protection.
